United Parks As One is a citywide alliance of neighborhood-based park, playground, and garden advocates dedicated to the creation, stewardship, and activation of open spaces for the benefit of Newark residents and communities.
United Parks As One envisions vibrant, sustainable communities built around parks, playgrounds, and gardens. These spaces provide safe environments for creative expression, economic growth, and educational opportunities. They also promote environmental stewardship, healthy living, and spiritual renewal for people of all ages.
With early support from The Trust for Public Land, United Parks As One quickly built a strong foundation. This partnership provided staff assistance and essential funding. It supported skill-building field trips, health fairs, community cleanups, fun days, and other park-based events that brought residents together.
